We believe that the proper removal and the timing of the removal of diseased trees is an important piece of any oak wilt management plan. From the diseased Red Oak (Quercus texana) to the diseased Live Oak (Quercus virginiana) we follow protocols to properly limit the chance to spread the disease.
Upon removal of 75 diameter inches of diseased trees, we will properly install at no charge to our client an oak wilt resistant 15 gallon tree like the Chinkapin Oak (Quercus muehlenbergii). Commonly called the Yellow Chestnut Oak because of the resemblance of its leaves to the chestnut tree. This tree is native to Texas as grows best in full sun.
For removals less than 75 diameter inches, we can offer the new tree at a discount.
